Hello everyone,
Hope you're doing well as we start May--time flies doesn't it?! We want to share some huge praise reports with you! If you remember from our last update, we were praying about the purchase of land and the potential of constructing a new church building for CC Roca Norte. (If you missed the update or need a refresher, you can find it here). Well, thank you for praying with us because God answered! We prayed for $30,000 for the downpayment on the land along with building costs and additional costs. The Lord answered and provided $35,000! God knew what was needed because that extra money has already gone toward hooking up utilities and putting a fence around the property. Construction on the building is set to begin in the next few weeks! The Lazarian World Homes ministry has already started dropping off tools/equipment with Pastor Jose in preparation of starting the work.
Please continue to pray for this step of faith as well as for Pastor Jose and the CCRN leadership. These next few months may be stressful, with lots of work to be done and larger financial responsibilities during construction that include paying for both locations until construction is completed. All of that is on top of weekly ministry that continues as well as Pastor Jose's job at the barber shop. There are also some in the church that are hesitant about moving the church to the northernmost part of the city, farther from their homes. It's all a lot for Pastor Jose to bear--especially if he falls into the temptation of carrying the burden himself. I know that's something I struggle with! I've been thinking and praying about Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28-30 for Pastor Jose and the leaders, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Finally, I'm am personally very excited to be able to take a trip to Chihuahua at the end of this month! A small group of us will be going to offer our support for the construction and to hopefully encourage Pastor Jose and the rest of the church. Our trip will be from May 28th - June 4th. God provided money for our trip through a friend who has been praying for us and for the work God is doing in Chihuahua! I plan on taking lots of pictures and updating everyone on how it's going! Please pray for our trip--that we would be a blessing and encouragement to Jose and the church and that we would glorify the Lord through all we do! Thank you so much for reading, praying and supporting what God is doing in Chihuahua! We love you all and appreciate you!

Praise Reports
- The Lord has been opening doors for the land/construction project so that CC Roca Norte can have a long-term home in Chihuahua! We were praying for $30,000 for the project and God provided $35,000! Other unexpected costs have arisen, so God of course knew ahead of time that we would need a little more!
- CC Roca Norte Church Planting School finished its first year and there is a graduating couple praying about planting a church in the southern part of Chihuahua!
- The church is going well and continues to grow as new families come and get connected.
- God provided for a few of us to be able to take a trip down to Chihuahua at the end of this month!
Prayer Requests
- For wisdom, guidance and unity for the construction project so that CC Roca Norte can finally have a long-term church building. God blessed us with His provision and now there are lots of logistics that needs to be taken care of before and after they break ground (in the next few weeks)!
- For peace, rest and wisdom for Pastor Jose as he leads the church during this time of transition and this step of faith.
- For God's financial provision over these next several months as other construction costs arise and the church continues paying rent at the old building while also making payments for the new land.
- For the trip we are taking later this month to help with construction of the new church building and encourage the church.
- For an opportunity that Pastor Jose and his family potentially have to move to another house that will be closer to the new building. It would be a huge blessing for them, especially because the rent would be much less since it’s owned by a missionary family and he would be helping them take care of the land/property.
- For the finalization of the Mexican AC process for the church (Mexican version of a 501c3). They are in the final steps signing and finalizing everything.
- For the second generation of the CC Roca Norte Church Planting school, that God would train and prepare the students and that church planters would be raised up and sent throughout Mexico.
- For the couple mentioned before that graduated from the 2025 church planting school and is praying about launching a church plant in the southern portion of the city. That God would guide them and confirm the details of their calling.
- That God would continue to guide and provide so that CCRN can continue helping the ministry in Creel with the construction of their church building.
- For the different services and studies throughout the week at CC Roca Norte including home groups, men’s and women’s meetings and more. That God would use each one for His glory.
